So our first Pokemon selected for our Weekly Strategy is Snorlax, it is an underestimated Pokemon in the UnderUsed tier, and it can use this to its advantage as a fantastic win condition and slow wallbreaker. Having base 160 HP and 110 Special Defense allows Snorlax to act as a sponge to many threats including Choice Specs Hydreigon. Access to Curse and Rest allows it to become one of the best win conditions in the game after Fighting-types have been dealt with. A great base 110 Attack is ideal for a Choice Band set, while Assault Vest can be used a to maximize Snorlax's Special bulk.

A fantastic ability in Thick Fat allows it to take on Fire-type and Ice-type attacks with relative ease. Unfortunately, a subpar base 65 Defense stat means that Snorlax sometimes needs to shift some EVs towards bulking it up on the Physical side against Pokemon such as Honchkrow or Crobat, and horrid base 30 Speed means you have to rely on sponge-and-attack tactics. Even when you analize Snorlax, you can choose a wide range of moves and strategies, today I'll be covering an Assault Vest set.

Snorlax #143

Ability: Thick Fat.

Item: Assault Vest.

Effort Values: 252 Atk / 252 Def / 4 SpD.

Nature: Adamant.

Suggested Moveset:
-Body Slam / Return
-Pursuit / Crunch
-Earthquake
-Fire Punch

Return is a powerful STAB option, 2HKOing all frailer attackers and doing decent damage to moderately bulky threats such as Mega Blastoise and Crobat. Body Slam is a reliable but less powerful STAB option with a 30% chance to paralyze. Pursuit is great against Psychic-types as well as Chandelure and other Ghost-types if you predict a switch, but Crunch is a more powerful move, Crunch is useful in one-on-one situations where the opponent wants to commit with a Ghost- or Psychic-type. Earthquake is a great coverage move, hitting the common UnderUsed Fire-, Electric-, Steel-, and Poison-types for super effective damage. Fire Punch is useful against Forretress and other Bug- and Grass-types.

The Assault Vest allows Snorlax to become the perfect special sponge, as the strongest special Fighting move, Focus Blast, is an unreliable move to hit Snorlax with. This set maximizes Attack with an Adamant nature in order to hit as hard as possible, this set also maximizes Snorlax's defensive capabilities, helping it tank physical attacks such as Superpower from Life Orb Hydreigon or Honchkrow. Snorlax's huge base 160 HP and 110 Special Defense allows it to avoid investing in more special bulk or HP, instead investing the EVs into its Defense. Thick Fat is a wonderful ability that weakens Fire- and Ice-type attacks by 50%, giving Snorlax two added resistances, further increasing Snorlax's dependability against Fire-type spam strategies.

Snorlax is a very decent wallbreaker that can survive any non-super effective hit. It is best used as a sponge-and-hit tactician. Fundamentally, it relieves prediction due to Assault Vest, allowing it to use its optimal attacking options. Snorlax partners well with Crobat, as it can sponge all Fighting-type attacks with complete ease. Alomomola also partners well with it and Crobat by relieving some pressure of predicting. Snorlax appreciates cleric support from Florges, as Florges resists U-turn, resists Fighting-type moves, has Protect for scouting, and has Moonblast to check almost all Fighting-type threats in the UnderUsed metagame.

Immunity can be used as an ability to prevent Toxic users from gaining the upper hand, but this is generally outclassed by Thick Fat. A mono-attacking RestTalk + Whirlwind set can be used. Lum Berry or Leftovers can also be used instead of Assault Vest, but the Defense EVs should be moved to HP. Self-Destruct can also be used in place of Fire Punch. Wild Charge and Heavy Slam are both interesting attacking options, but they are generally outclassed by Snorlax's main attacking options. Seed Bomb is an option to hit Ground- and Water-types.

Hey guys, I'm home right now and while playing on my 3Ds I had to go out, and then a thought crossed my mind... Why can't I play Pokemon on Android / iOS? And while that idea took shape in my head, of course my first thought was to download an emulator, which I have, and right here and right now I can recommend you guys some emulators to play Pokemon at the end of the post. But getting back to the point, we have seen how Nintendo and Gamefreak never were really into bringing Pokemon outside of the Nintendo handheld devices there were some exceptions with Pokemon Stadium and Pokemon Stadium 2, Pokemon Battle Revolution and XD Gale of Darkness those are the ones I have on the top of my mind, but as you can see Pokemon never had a game outside of Nintendo handhelds and even less outside of a Nintendo console.

After realizing that I wanted a game out of the usual environment, it made complete sense that Nintendo would release a Pokemon game for Android / iOS since the growth of the mobile gaming platform has been enourmos over the past few years, and they want to take advantage of that huge section of the market they are currently not reaching, and as we all now, almost every person has a smartphone, but not everyone has a Nintendo GameBoy, Ds or 3Ds to play their favorite games, and Nintendo knows that, besides being reluctant on realising a mobile game for years we Pokemon fans around the world can finally crest knowing that even if limited we will have a Pokemon game for smartphones whenever we want to enjoy the franchise we all love and play.

Its true that PokemonGo wont the be the style most of us are used to play at least from the early images... But a new take on Pokemon can be very good and refreshing for the franchise and it will help to reach a much bigger audience, we hope that Nintendo delivers a good quality product with PokemonGo, and that it continues to reach into unexplored grounds so we can all have a good taste of Pokemon in our lifes.

But for the more casual fans of Pokemon that don't own a Nintendo Ds / 3Ds I can recommend you guys some very good emulators for your Android smartphone, sadly iOS users can't see a similar way to play their favorite games, but for us that have an Android phone and love Pokemon, be sure to check out this post to know more about some of the best emulators:

Hey guys, I'm going to be doing some sets for certain Pokemons in this blog, to start off, chosen at random to mark the beginning of this section of the site, we are starting off with Drifblim.

Drifblim's decent Attack stat combined with a good offensive typing and an excellent ability in Unburden makes it an effective sweeper in the PU metagame. However, its sweeping potential is unforunately limited by the lack of a physical boosting moves, strong STAB moves and coverage, and ways for it to activate Unburden.

It is easily walled, as physical sets struggle to get past Rock-, Steel-, and Electric-types, and special sets are too weak to break through common special walls. It can be revenge killed easily, as it is weak to three common priority moves, and certain Choice Scarf users such as Raichu will outspeed Drifblim even if it has an Unburden boost. It has a decent support movepool including Will-O-Wisp, Defog, and Destiny Bond, which provide team support and can help it sweep. Drifblim's high HP stat is unfortunatly let down by poor Defense and Special Defense and a typing that leaves it weak to five common types and to Stealth Rock. Although it has the potential to spinblock, it cannot do so in practice, as it loses to every relevant Rapid Spin user. Unburden provides Drifblim with a niche over other offensive Ghost-types, such as Misdreavus, allowing it to be more effective against offensive teams, as it is harder to revenge kill.

Drifblim #426

Ability: Unburden.

Item: Sitrus Berry / Liechi Berry.

Effort Values: 12 HP / 252 Atk / 32 Def / 36 SpD / 176 Spe.

Nature: Adamant.

Suggested Moveset:
-Acrobatics
-Will-O-Wisp
-Substitute
-Destiny Bond / Knock Off

Acrobatics is your strongest STAB move, reaching 110 Base Power after Drifblim loses its item. Will-O-Wisp lets you set up Substitutes against Pokemon such as Lickilicky while crippling switch-ins such as Golem and Carracosta, as well as to easily activate its item while blocking status and weaker hits, and Destiny Bond allows it to KO slower revenge killers, which is effective with its high Speed when boosted by Unburden. Knock Off can be used to provide more coverage by crippling any Pokemon it touches and is stronger than an unboosted Acrobatics.

176 Speed EVs lets you outspeed base 70 Speed Pokemon, allowing it to outspeed and burn Mightyena with Will-O-Wisp, while also letting it outspeed Choice Scarf base 95 Speed Pokemon when boosted by Unburden. Maximum Attack EV investment and an Adamant nature are required in order to give Drifblim the capability to sweep. The leftover EVs are used to increase your defensive stats, with the current spread being the most effective and allowing you to consume your Sitrus or Liechi Berry after two and three Substitutes, respectively. Berries are used to activate Unburden, which lets you outspeed the entire unboosted metagame. Sitrus Berry is easier to reach and provides a health boost, while Liechi Berry provides a much-needed power boost.

Drifblim should be used as a late-game sweeper when Pokemon that resist Flying-type moves, Choice Scarf and priority users have been removed, but it can also be used before that, just to spread burns or cripple foes with Knock Off. You should not switch in but rather should enter after a teammate is KOed or brought in from a pivot against Pokemon that it can force out such as Poliwrath and Roselia. When in and ready to sweep, you should either try to Substitute until it is in range of the activation of one of its Berries or use Will-O-Wisp to prevent the foe from dealing too much damage. Once it has its Unburden boost with Liechi Berry, attacking will often be the best play, as you might be too weak to take even an attack from a burned Pokemon; however, when running Sitrus Berry, you will have enough health to more comfortably take a hit. You should try to not reveal Destiny Bond, as it is more effective if the opponent does not expect it.

Due to its limited coverage, Drifblim should be paired with a teammate that can check Pokemon that resist Flying. This includes Water-type Pokemon, which beat Rock-types; Grass-types, such as Simisage and Tangela, which resist Electric-types and check Rock-types; and Ground-types, such as Torterra and Golem, which beat Steel-, Rock-, and Electric-types. Due to its weakness to Stealth Rock, Drifblim appreciates entry hazard removal support from . Dark- and Normal-types such as Pawniard and Stoutland beat opposing Ghost-types while you check Fighting-types. Fighting- and Steel-types such as Poliwrath and Probopass beat Ice-types; the former can also beat Dark- and Steel-types, and the latter checks Rock-types.

Other Flying-types such as Jumpluff can form Flying-type spam cores, as they weaken each other's checks and counters. Wallbreakers, such as Heatmor and Marowak, and entry hazards from Pokemon such as Piloswine and Whirlipede wear the opposing team down, providing you with a better chance to sweep. Drifblim fits better on offensive teams, which provide enough offensive pressure to wear down the opponent's team and remove possible threats.

So guys, this is the set I like to use for Drifblim and I think it works as a uncommon Pokemon strategy.

Let's explain and theorize what are the new Zygarde formes.

We already heard that Corocoro magazine leaked some images of Zygarde and its apparent new forms, not to meantion that the new series of the anime is now going to be called Pokemon XY and Z and I have to admit that there are some questions coming to my head when seeing them and a small theory for the next generation of Pokemon games.

To start of we have this little guy, the Zygarde Cell form, apparently they are the single Cells that make up Zygarde. These cells do not possess any will or thoughts. Citing the official Pokemon website "...They're found scattered throughout the region. Since they can't use any moves, researchers question whether they can even be called Pokémon!" So, by this description, we could assume that this from might not be able to be used in battle... although I'm not sure.
Zygarde Cell
The next form we have is the Zygarde Core form, you may remenber this little guy from the images that leaked saying that there was a new Pokemon generation being unofficially announced, but we now know that this is a new Zygarde form, citing the Pokemon website "...this aspect of Zygarde is little more than a part of the Pokémon's brain. Unlike the Cells, the Cores are self-aware and can communicate with Cells and other Cores via telepathy" apart from this we know that these cores gather in order to give us the other Zygarde forms.
Zygarde Core
The next Zygarde form is called as for now Zygarde 10% forme it takes the shape of a dog, and it is described as the form Zygarde takes when it gathers the 10% of its Cells, and citing the Pokemon website "...Capable of traveling over 60 mph (100 km/h), it defeats enemies with its sharp fangs and its incredible speed" Reading this description we could imagine that this form is not going to be bulky, but more of a fast sweeper.
Zygarde 10% Forme

The next form is the Zygarde we all know from XY and ORAS, this form is now called Zygarde 50% forme, we all acknowledge that in the games it has been given a really mediocre role, but with the next form that might just change.
Zygarde 50% Forme

The final form that Zygarde can take is called Zygarde Complete forme and it is achieved when Zygarde gathers 100% of the Cells, and is said to be greater than that of Yveltal and Xerneas, as of now we don't really know how is it going to gather the entirety of its cells to achieve this form and what are those details in red and blue on its body, but we are sure that with time Nintendo will solve all our doubts on the matter.
Zygarde Complete Forme
On another note, since these froms have been leaked, we can assume that the next Pokemon generation is not exactly coming soon, but we hope that we will have a sequel to Pokemon XY as we did with Pokemon Ruby Sapphire, Diamond Pearl and more recently with Black and White, with the release of Emerald, Platinum and of course Black 2 and White 2, these sequels gave us the same region, but with a mildly different story line giving more importance to the third Legendary Pokemon of the generation. I hope that these is the case with the next game, since I feel Zygarde needs a better role in the story of XY, and its own game might just do the work.

   Thanks for reading.

Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon just around the corner!

December is right around the corner and as we all know that means we are gettng closer and closer to the official release of Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon for players around the world,

If you have never heard of this spin-off series of the Pokemon universe, it started with Pokemon Blue and Red Rescue Team which gave us a really different way of playing, we had a partner and we took on missions to save other Pokemons, deliver or find items and solve misteries in plaes called mistery dungeons, these had a specific set of Pokemon inside, but the layout of the dungeon changed every time you got in, the leves on said dungeon were based on floors, and most of them ussually had a boss at the end,

Through the game you could recruit Pokemon you defeated on said dungeons, those Pokemon would them become part of your team, which later you could assemble to take on different bosses and ultimatly solve the main problem in the story, after you beat the game you had multiple other sidequests that involved legendaries and special Pokemon.

The tariler for the game looks beautiful.

But back to the subject, this game looks amazing and I can not wait to see what the main story in this game is about, why are legendaries turning into stone?, how are going to be able to mega evolve? what dungeons are we going to find? who are going to be the bosses?...

Either way this game promises to be one the best looking games that will come this New Year.

Pokken Tournament arrives on WiiU in spring 2016!

So it has been a long time since Pokken Tournament was announced in Japan and I think that, as always,  us gamers in the outside of Japan felt pretty bad because such an amazing looking game would never come to our hands. But ladies and gentleman, Nintendo made this really huge announcement saying that WiiU players would be able to buy the game starting on spring next year.

That is right, players will be able to fight with their favorite Pokemon against each other, here is the trailer if have not seen it yet.

I personally am really excited for this collaboration with Bandai Namco Entertaiment the makers of the Tekken series, it looks really good, the movements of every Pokemon looks excepcionally fluid, the attacks you can see on the trailer look amazing and I am really happy to see this stile of game coming out for us Pokemon lovers out there.

I believe that many Pokemon fans have been wishing for a game like this since you could select to play as PIkachu or Jigglypuff in the first instalment of the Super Smash Bros series, wich is a really good and challenging game.

One of the things I really like of the trailer is that it looks as though mostly every Pokemon could make into the game... Or at the very least the more popular ones. and of course if we speak of a popular Pokemon, we can never forget Pikachu which has a wrestling suit and mask... And also  goes by the name of PIkachu LIbre. Honestly I do not know what to think about that last part, but that does not mean I don not like it. Its funny watching how is Nintendo going to showcase him in every game, and to be honest I have never been dissapointed, at least so far.

So, if you would like to leave a comment with your thoughts about the game, or you would like your friends to know about this great announcement, please share it with them.

   As always thanks for reading.

I'm a Pokemon fan I've had games related to the franchise since as long as I can remenber, I love knowing the latest and the newest from the franchise and I hope to keep this blog up to date. I'm planning to open a Youtube channel in the future and play Pokemon so that other people can see and enjoy the content I will be doing.

As for a living I don't work beacause I´m studying German and I want this to be my full time job in the future, I just became 18 years old and I also like to watch the Formula 1 season supporting Sebastian Vettel.

   Currently living in Venezuela.

I hope you enjoy my Blog and I encourage you to share it and to have some patience because I don't have everything working at the moment and my social networks still need a lot of work.

Apart from that, enjoy the content and be sure that when everything is done we'll be having daily new content and possibly chosen by you guys.

Well, one part of the work is finally done...
The logo is here!

So finally the logo is done, I have to thank my uncle, and my girlfriend for all the help they gave in the making of this amazing work.

Lets begin with why a Grovyle, well the whole Treeko evolution line has always been one of my favorites starters so I decided to use it as my image, and specifically Grovyle since I think best suits my personality and age. I also went with the Unown as my letters since it gives the whole image a sense on forest wich I honestly  belive goes with the enviroment I picture while thinking about Grovyle.

If you have any opinions about it or you would like to leave a comment saying your thoughts on it, please feel free to do so.

   Thanks

Hi guys

As you can now guess, Pokémon Go was announced and I believe it's a really interesting take on the franchise for the mobile world, if we see the trailer we can see how we are able to catch Pokémons based on a location, which I believe will be fun, but I'm not really sure how you'd get those encounters, if they respawn in different locations or you'll have to literally Go! And find them yourself in various areas.

In this trailer for a new Pokemon game, we can also see that we'll be able to trade Pokémons with other players, which some could say means that some Pokémon are only available in a specific area and that if you're not there you'd have to trade someone in order to get it.

On a final note, at the end we see a really big gathering of people with a sole purpose... To catch Mewtwo! Will these mean we'll have events for special Pokémons in major cities or maybe in a specific place, but for the meantime we'll have to wait wait for more announcemets from Nintendo.

   Nevertheless it's just a trailer.

So far I cannot tell much more, but I believe this  really is a step forward in the franchise of Pokémon for the mobile industry, finally making a promising arrival to our mobile phones.

So guys if you have any comments or thoughts about this really excitement announcement, please leave your comments and make sure to follow to know more!

   Thanks
